The conference touched on Project Management across all industries, demand management and Project Management How-To’s, knowledge/application domains and the seven baselines.

The Orlando team’s most successful part of the conference was the lunch. They were able to get personal with clients and candidates about Project Management. The conversation centered around popular hiring trends in Project Management and the team were able to give some practical tips on how to stand out from the rest in when looking for a new job.

The Hays Construction & Property team from the Houston office were sponsors at the recent Associated Builders and Contractor (ABC) Membership Breakfast.
As a member of the ABC chapter in Houston, we were invited to attend and provided job market news and practical hiring advice to over 400 construction professionals who attended. The team had a chance to network and introduce themselves to hiring managers and business leaders from across the region. The discussions centered around new projects planned for the coming months and what employers need do to get the right talent on board.
The guest speaker, Anirban Basu, ABC’s Chief Economist and Chairman & CEO of Sage Policy Group, Inc., hosted the event and discussed future trends in the economy and the resulting impact on the construction industry, both locally and around the world.
Members of the association were awarded for their dedication to the industry. We also had an award presentation of our own, as one lucky delegate went home with a construction site Lego set after winning our Lego Movie Raffle.
Association events like those hosted by the ABC are a great opportunity for our teams to get out and meet employers and really understand their challenges and how we can support their hiring.

Kimberly is one of our staffing veterans here at Veredus, a Hays company. She has been in the IT staffing market since 1997. She previously came from a psychology and vocal performance education background. Both have led to her success in recruiting.
She had no idea that she would end up in staffing, but her experience in psychology has allowed her to better understand people and how they work. Along with her vocational training that taught her how to better communicate with others.

She has been able to advance her career from starting as a recruiter and moving to an account manager, consultant resource manager and landing where she is now as a Business Unit Leader in Chicago.
Her sales experience and dedication eventually led to her opening her own office in Chicago. She says, “The opportunities are endless here. And now the potential to grow even further into the world of Hays gives me and anyone that joins our team here so many more opportunities than what’s already been given to me over the years.”
Since her transition to Chicago 4 years ago she has built so many great relationships with influential leaders spanning across a variety of industries. Our customer base is limitless and keeps expanding through the Chicago area.

Anyone that comes in knows that the skies are the limit and there are no boundaries. The advantage of joining and being part of this expanding office means 100% collaboration, advancement, career growth, recognition, rewards and major monetary incentives.”
