Dallas, Texas, is one of the top five staffing markets in the US and the largest economic contributor to The Metroplex. Recognized as having the largest corporate headquarters concentration in the US, with more than 10,000 companies, this area has a broad diversity of industries, including financial services, IT, life sciences, telecommunications, transportation and manufacturing.
In addition, the labor market continues to expand while the city has a very low unemployment rate. It is no surprise that Dallas will become a home for several large companies in the coming months including the likes of Toyota, USAA, FedEx, Liberty Mutual, and State Farm, resulting in thousands of jobs being created and an increase in recruitment demand for the Dallas office.
Since it opened in 2012, the office has seen significant growth. Initially operating with Construction & Property and IT, we recently started the Accounting & Finance division. We have had a great deal of success over the past few months.
And the reason for our success is our dedicated team, who made this office into a collaborative environment with a great culture of cross-selling and sharing client leads. As a result, multiple recruiters are billing the most they have in their careers. “It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Dallas team”, says David Hubbard, Area Vice President. We’re looking to add 2 recruiters to the team. We have the chance to build on a great base of clients, and continue to deliver a high level of service to our clients. The recruiters play such a critical role in the overall success of the business. There is a tremendous amount of opportunity for recruiters to step in and make placements quickly, and have a significant impact.
Aside from the amazing career growth opportunities that Dallas has, the city also offers a lot of entertainment and culture. Held in Dallas, the State Fair of Texas is the most notable event in the state, bringing people together to celebrate the Lone Star culture. I am really excited to announce that Veredus, a Hays Company, made the 2016 SIA Largest Staffing Firms in the US. We are one of the 134 companies with US staffing revenue of more than $100 million in 2015.
This is the 21st annual Largest Staffing Firms report from the Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions. Known for their award-winning content, data, support tools, publications, executive conferences and events, they help suppliers and buyers on the staffing and workforce solutions field. According to Timothy Landhuis, research manager for SIA, “the companies featured in this year’s report generated a combined $75.7 billion in U.S. staffing revenue in 2015”, showing the growth and the attractiveness of our field in the US market.
It’s an honor to be part recognized by the SIA, it validates what we already know, that we have all worked hard to contribute to building one of the biggest staffing companies in the country. Our team is growing quickly and helping to transform businesses around the country, breaking financial records, placing more candidates in the right companies and delivering an excellent service to our clients.
This achievement has made me even more proud of the team we’ve built, made up of people who are passionate about their jobs, hardworking and talented. Our teams work together every day to produce amazing results for the hiring managers and candidates we work with.

The local employment market in Orlando is improving every day spearheaded by the increased investment into construction projects including the $1.8 billion Orlando airport expansion, a 500 acre tech campus, and several residential projects. The new developments have led to more jobs across other industries including IT, accounting and finance, office support, and other operations roles.

It is with heavy hearts we celebrate the life of Patrick McNeil, a long-time independent consultant who worked with Veredus, a Hays company.
Pat was a Veredus consultant for the last five years, and had worked with Veredus on previous assignments prior to that.
Pat’s Co-workers at the client site loved him for his wacky socks, along with shirts and ties as colorful as his personality! They considered him family.
