Atlanta teamOur team usually spends Fridays helping employers and job seekers find the best match, but this month the team in Atlanta was offering a different kind of help to their community.

On Friday, March 10th, several members of our Atlanta team volunteered with Dwell with Dignity, a non-profit that designs and installs complete home interiors for families coming out of poverty, who desperately need a home environment that will support health and wellness. Founded in 2009 in Dallas by the interior designers Lisa Robison and Kim Turner, Dwell with Dignity has completed 97 projects to date and now operates in Dallas and Atlanta.

This was our first time supporting Dwell with Dignity and our team had an amazing time working in the storage warehouse of donations helping to unpack boxes, move and organizing furniture.

Here is some feedback from our team:

This was my first time volunteering with Dwell with Dignity but hopefully it won’t be my last! They just opened the Atlanta office so we were there to help sort all of the furniture donations and unpack them. It was awesome to see all of the furniture and household items that the interior decorators will use to turn houses into homes for some deserving families. It feels really good to be a part of something that helps women and children from a stable environment and have a complete home. I hope to go back to DWD and help renovate items that need it once the designers have picked them for installation. I loved helping an organization that is about empowering women and children to continue moving forward!” – Erin Griswold

Had a great time getting out with my coworkers and helping organize the warehouse. Inspiring to see a charity out there that helps moms and children who may not be able to afford basic home furniture.” – Patrick Mark

This volunteer event was great because not only did we get to help out a  local charity but it was almost like a team-building exercise for those of us that attended. It was awesome to leave work aside and work together as a team to do something good for the community.” – Jordana Garcia

Although it’s their first time supporting this project, our Atlanta team is known for supporting different non-profit and volunteer projects, such as Clark’s Kids, Safehouse Outreach Atlanta and Camp Sunshine.
